No heavy metal salt stabilizers are added during the processing of PE pipes. The material is non-toxic, free from scaling and bacterial growth, which effectively addresses the secondary pollution of urban drinking water. Except for a few strong oxidants, it can resist erosion by various chemical media and is free from electrochemical corrosion. PE pipes can be safely used for more than 50 years under rated temperature and pressure conditions. They feature excellent toughness and high impact resistance, and will not crack even when heavy objects press directly on them. The strength of hot-melt or electrofusion joints of PE pipes is higher than that of the pipe itself, and the joints will not break due to soil movement or live loads. The pipes are light in weight, with simple welding processes, convenient construction and low comprehensive engineering costs.
